Dead Daisies featuring Doug Aldrich on guitar, rehearsing again now.

Doug Aldrich and Dead Daisies are Rehearsing for Upcoming Concert Dates

About a decade back, guitarist Doug Aldrich gave up his long-held spot in Whitesnake to Joel Hoekstra, and went off to join The Dead Daisies. Since that time, Dead Daisies has been Aldrich’s main creative outlet.

Aldrich joined the Australian-American band in 2016, replacing guitarist Richard Fortus, who was leaving to tour with Guns ‘n’ Roses. Aldrich has been the main lead guitarist ever since.

The Dead Daises was founded in 2012 in Australia by David Lowy and Jon Stevens. The pair had previously crossed paths while Stevens was singing for INXS (where Stevens had taken over lead vocals from 2000-2003 after the death of INXS lead vocalist Michael Hutchence) and Lowy had played guitar in Australian band MINK, and a couple of others. Lowy is a successful businessman and avid aviator, outside of his musical pursuits.

The Dead Daisies have released eight albums, and toured with ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Kiss, and Def Leppard among others both in the States and internationally. The band has gone through numerous line-up changes over time and have been graced by the talents of noted musicians such as Slash, John Corabi, Marco Mendoza, Dizzy Reed, Frank Ferrer, Brian Tichy, Darryl Jones, John Tempesta, Deen Castronovo, Glenn Hughes, Damon Johnson, Dino Jelusick, Reb Beach, Brent Fitz, Tommy Clufetos, and others.

The Dead Daisies will be touring Europe in March, 2027, with other dates to come.
