Vinny Appice and his band Sabbath Knights performed two shows in California this past weekend, with one concert in the Sacramento area on October 30, and one in the Los Angeles area on Halloween, October 31. The band has upcoming dates in November in Florida.
Sabbath Knights features legendary drummer Appice, formerly of Dio, Black Sabbath and Heaven and Hell; along with vocalist Jim Crean of Hair Nation out of Buffalo, New York. Crean has been singing with Vinny and/or older brother Carmine Appice for more than 15 years, largely in the pair’s “Drum Wars” shows.
On guitar for the California shows was Felipe Rodrigo (also a member of The Mercury Riots), and bassist Paul Lerma. Both have performed with Appice many times, and are often considered his “West Coast Band.” Regular participants on Appice’s more Eastern appearances are often guitarist Artie Dillon (of Cactus) and bassist Jimmy Caputo. At this time we’re not sure who will be playing the Florida dates, other than Appice and vocalist Crean.
The upcoming dates for Sabbath Knights currently include:
November 18, 2026: Mount Dora Music Hall, Mount Dora, Florida
November 19, 2026: Encore Live, Sarasota, Florida
November 21, 2026 :Mango Rita’s Rhythm House, Fort Myers, Florida
