Somewhat behind the scenes, guitar legend Gary Hoey has had a long musical partnership with Lita Ford, producing or participating in much of the former Runaway’s musical journey over the past decade or more. Earlier this year we reported that Ford was planning to release a new album — her first in 10 years — this fall. At the time, she had not yet settled on a record label.
But now Ford has announced that she is signing with Frontiers Music/SRL — the home of many, if not most ’70s and ’80s rock legends these days. The label is out of Italy, but that hasn’t stopped the likes of Blue Oyster Cult, Don Felder, Glen Hughes, Graham Bonnet, Joel Hoekstra, Journey, L.A. Guns, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Megadeth, Mr. Big, Night Ranger, and on and on, from inking deals to release new or re-newed music on the label.
Hoey is listed as Producer and guitarist on Lita’s new disc and recently put out this social media message about Ford’s new project:
“Hey Friends, I am proud to announce that Lita Ford’s new single, “Dracula,” arrives October 27th (produced by Gary Hoey, mixed by Max Norman, and featuring Lita Ford, Gary Hoey, and Bobby Rock on drums).
It’s Lita’s first new record since Time Capsule in 2016. Here’s what she had to say about the new material:
“It’s been a long journey to create this magical dark fairytale album for everyone to enjoy. I needed the perfect team to make that happen and to help give this powerful record a life it deserves. I am so happy to say I have officially sealed the deal with Frontiers Music Srl, as we are thrilled, excited and ready to rise with the 1st new single on OCTOBER 27th, 2026. Good Night. Good Bye. Prepare To Die ‘DRACULA’!! Brace yourself.”
